Bybit EDD verification
Bybit can request enhanced due diligence even from fully verified users, and it may affect deposits, withdrawals, crypto purchases, the Bybit Card and fiat services. It's done in the app or website under Profile → Settings → Additional Verification. The status moves through pending, under review, approved, resubmission required or rejected.
Bybit says the review normally takes up to 5 business days, with the result by email, and that missing its deadline can lead to restrictions on deposits, withdrawals or trading. Bybit itself describes EDD as a normal compliance measure rather than an accusation.
Documents Bybit lists include proof of identity and address, and for source of funds or wealth: bank statements (up to three consecutive months), recent payslips, a signed employment contract, sale or loan agreements, inheritance documents, dividend statements and trading history from other platforms. Banned account: self-service unban
If your account is banned, Bybit's login screen offers a "Request to Unban" option. Where Bybit sees risk, it routes users to a self-service unban page that can ask for a screen recording showing the exchange or wallet your deposit came from, your original ID, and a selfie or video holding a dated handwritten note. Bybit indicates a review time of roughly 5–7 working days, with replies by email. Bybit: how to reactivate your account.
P2P withdrawal holds
Some assets bought through Bybit P2P are held for about 24 hours before they can be withdrawn; a dispute on the order extends the hold, and it can't be lifted early. If the hold continues past the stated release time, contact support via the web form with the order number and a screenshot. Frozen bank accounts after P2P trades need separate evidence from your bank.
HTX-linked transfers (2026)
After the UK sanctioned HTX's operator in May 2026, Bybit warned that deposits or withdrawals involving HTX-linked addresses may face additional AML and risk-control reviews, and advised users to avoid such addresses. If your account was restricted after an HTX-related transfer — including small deposits you didn't initiate — document the timeline, the amounts and the origin of your funds before you contact support.

Frequently asked questions
How long does Bybit EDD take?
Bybit states up to 5 business days after a complete submission, with the result sent by email. Resubmissions restart the clock.
Can I get a banned Bybit account back?
Often yes, if the ban came from a risk flag that can be explained and you complete the self-service unban process carefully. Bans for confirmed terms violations are much harder to reverse.
Bybit froze my account after a small deposit I don't recognise. What now?
Unsolicited "dust" deposits from risky addresses can trigger screening. Don't move or return the funds yourself; explain to support that you didn't initiate the transfer and provide your transaction history.
